Student Midwives wanting to witness homebirth

The below is a list of student midwives who have reached out with an interest in attending a homebirth. 

As a part of their university degree, student midwives must support 10 women through their pregnancy, labour/birth, and post partum - alongside a midwife. 

Most student midwives will never witness a homebirth whether the university does not allow it, they don't know about it, or they haven't had the opportunity.

A student midwife is usually in their 2nd or 3rd year of midwifery, and will be able to provide emotional and practical support whilst learning physical and medical skills. Supporting a homebirth mama may be their first or only opportunity to witness normal physiological birth in their studies, as most placements are usually in the medical system.
